Sidewalks are covered with the impressions of leaves which fell yesterday.

Saturday.

The sidewalks are covered with the impressions of leaves which fell yesterday and were pressed into the soil by the feet of the passers, leaving a myriad dark spots -- like bird- tracks or hieroglyphics to a casual observer.

What are the sparrow-like birds with striped breasts and two triangular chestnut colored spots on the breasts which I have seen some time, picking the seeds of the weeds in the garden?
